The Federal Reserve announced the largest rate cut in close to 2 decades this morning! What this means to us is very low interest rates for buyers, but also great rates for refinances. If you or one of your customers opened a mortgage in the last 24 months, it may be a great time to refinance that loan and save hundreds of dollars a month. This morning´s base rate on a 30 year fixed was 5.416%, that´s the lowest in over 3 years!!
Rule of thumb is: ½% lower rate and it makes sense to refinance.
